59. Monkey Stance

(Hou Shih)
Turn ninety degrees to the right (South), and as you do so, step directly back with your left foot, placing your weight on to it, and bending your left knee. Slide your right foot back a few inches and raise the toes. Move your left hand to a position just in front of the right shoulder, whilst your right arm starts to swing to your right until it is over your right leg. As you start to move your right arm, rotate the wrist so that your palm faces up. Once your arm is above your leg, circle your right hand and wrist until your palm faces downwards, and drop your hand down towards your right knee.

60. Dragon Stance

(Lung Shih)
Move your weight on to your right foot as you step forward one pace with your left foot and bend your left knee. Straighten your right leg and transfer 80% of your weight on to the left leg, and as you do this move both arms forward together. The left arm curves forward from your right shoulder to a position directly in front of your left shoulder; the right hand rotates until the palm is uppermost, while the right arm circles across the front of your body under your left arm, so that it finishes in front of your chest. At this point both hands should be extended and the fingers should be pointing forward.

61. Leopard Stance

(Pao Shih)
A quick weight transfer is required on to your right leg as you step diagonally back and to the left with your left foot, moving your weight on to it and bending your left knee. Sweep your left hand in a curve so that it arrives in front of your right shoulder, at the same time moving the right hand outward, upward and downward in a circle until it arrives under your left arm with the palm facing your left leg.

62. Dragon Stance

(Lung Shih)
Step forward one pace with your right leg, putting your weight on to it, and bending your right knee. Keeping your right arm slightly bent, raise it forwards and upwards in a curve until it reaches shoulder height; meanwhile the left hand drops slowly in front of the solar plexus with the fingers pointing towards your right forearm.
