Burra Gookero (巴拉 Gokhru)
Only the fruits are used in Chinese herbalism. When ripened they turn to a deep brown. These fruits contain two separate cells which give birth to four long and narrow seeds, which can be made into a bitter-tasting infusion. Because the bitterness is so strong, the tea is normally made up of only one part of the seeds to twenty parts of water. It is mainly used for complaints of men, such as incontinence, nocturnal emissions, gonorrhoea and impotence. It does have some very useful properties which neutralize acidity within the liver and help to dispel wind. It severely restricts excess moisture in the body, and therefore it has been found to be excellent for those who suffer.
