Knotgrass

Knotgrass.jpg

Every part of this annual weed is used quite extensively in Chinese medicinal practice. On its own it can be made into a tea by using one ounce to one pint of boiling water, then allowing it to cool before drinking. It quickly clears fevers, and it also has a tendency to dry up excess moisture in the body. It eradicates urinary stones and their formation, and is really excellent for women who have an excess discharge of mucus from the vagina. It is also used to combat inflammation of the pelvis or the kidney, which medically is commonly known as pyelitis, and in the case of diuresis it will help enormously to regulate the flow of the urine.
