Mugwort (艾叶 àiyè, traditional 艾葉)
One of the very ancient herbs of China, it is also very common in other parts of the world, where it abounds in the countryside. The leaves and the roots can be used internally where it will act as a stimulant, and it can also be used externally on the skin, in the form of a poultice on aching joints and for muscular pains.
