Cinnamon (Ròuguì 肉桂)
China has always been a big producer of this spice, which is also used in perfume stick and joss sticks. Whilst it is pleasant to the taste, it is hot, and thus is good for warming the circulation, the kidneys, the heart and the abdomen. If you should catch a chill or a cold in the lungs, and are coughing and wheezing constantly, cinnamon will bring rapid relief.
Cinnamon tea (Ròuguì chá 肉桂茶)
Mid a quarter-ounce of cinnamon powder in four cupfuls of water, and boil until only half the liquid remains. Take a small wineglassful before each meal (three times daily).
